Pure Water

Process overview
Water treatment is the removal of impurities from water. Treatment processes are tailored to the use of water, such as domestic water and industrial use. Pretreatment using an RO membrane etc. is required in order to produce pure water from tap water.

Pretreatment

This is a process to remove turbid components from raw water, in order to operate the RO unit and ion exchange unit without turbidity or contamination in latter stages. In an ultrapure water system, plate heat exchangers are used for sterilization, because activated carbon is used to reduce TOC (Total Organic Carbon) even in the pretreatment system. HISAKA products are often used for this application.

Primary Pure Water System

This is a process to remove salts, organic substances, dissolved gas, and fine particles. Since various impurities cannot be removed by a single unit, RO and ion exchange are used together. HISAKA heat exchangers are often used as raw water heaters before RO and as heat exchangers for regeneration.
